Maria may be little, but she’s not Unbroken

Iceland has sent Maria Olafs to Vienna this year and she is getting lots of love from everyone in the Press Centre.

Maria Olafs (Iceland)

This 22-year-old singing pixie was a bit sick in her first rehearsal but has come through to set the scene for a magical song. She spoke to Michael about how theatre has prepared her for Eurovision and what inspired Unbroken, especially in its translation from Icelandic to English.

Maria Olafs performs Unbroken in Semi Final 2, telecast LIVE on SBS ONE at 5am AEST, Friday 22 May.
