JOYEurovision Calls Iceland
It was late night at JOY’s studios in Melbourne, but midday in Reykjavik, when we talked with Hrafnhildur Halldórsdóttir who has had the honour of doing commentary for RUV, Iceland’s national broadcaster.
Ms. Halldórsdóttir lets us in on why Iceland has opted to sing this year’s entry in English as well as her thoughts on this year’s entries. We also talk about Eurovisions past, as she was on the ground in Athens when Silvia Night caused quite a commotion both in and outside the contest. And then there is the institution that is Paul Oscar.
It’s a very fascinating conversation with the commentator of a little country that has always roared at Eurovision.
