Uh, Oh, Oh San Marino

Like Dame Shirley sang “it’s all just a bit of history repeating.”
The San Marinese entry Facebook (Uh, Oh, Oh) is in breach of EBU rules prohibiting commercial messages in competing songs. SMRTV must either submit new lyrics or an entirely new song.
This isn’t the first time this has happened at Eurovision as the Swedish entry in 1987 which was originally called Fyra Bugg och en Coca-Cola (“Four chewing gums and a Coca-Cola”) had to change lyrics to de-commercialise it. The end result was Boogaloo.
You’d think an old Eurovision hand like Ralph Siegel would know about this rule (he did write the German entry in 1987 amongst many others), which leads to speculation that the Facebook song was merely a placeholder while work on another song was completed.
SMRTV has a deadline of 22 March to submit new lyrics or a new song.
