It’s 2003. JOY’s music mix as put together by music director Damian Nicholas provides a unique sound in the Australian radio landscape. A big part of that mix is a whole swag of UK pop directly imported by Damian. While this particular song, this groups debut, was a hit here in Australia, we continued to hear these and many other iconic UK acts, long after Australian commercial radio had either forgotten or simply ignored so many great pop songs. None speaks to this ethos more than one of the biggest, this is Girls Aloud and their 2003 debut single. It’s Jump on JOY!
