Happy Mardi Gras everyone! One night in Darlinghurst, Sydney, in 1978, a small group of protesters got together to contribute to international gay celebrations. The resulting police violence and arrests created a defining moment in Australia’s LGBTIQ history and has been commemorated every year since with the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras parade. So This show Marty and Venetia play some of their favorite tracks from 1978. They also interview local band Yacht Rock Revival, who are play their first gig this week featuring songs from the Yacht Rock genre.
