Eurovisionish

Yes, this week’s show is all about Eurovision. Sadly, due to COVID-19, the Eurovision Song Contest has been cancelled for the first time since its inception in 1956. Usually on this weekend every year JOY 94.9 would be bringing you the highlights (and the super daggy lowlights) of this fabulous event, and joining Australia – and many other countries around the world – in dissecting the compositions, the costumes, the choreography and the controversies.  Unfortunately that won’t be happening this year. However, to provide you, our bereft listeners, with a little Eurovision fix, Marty and Venetia have spent the week trawling through obsessive lists, wikis, youtube videos and official Eurovision archives, and put together a show featuring artists who competed in the event during the 1970s. It’s fun, it’s daggy, it’s Eurovisionish!
