Living in the 70s

Who listens to the radio?
In honour of ANZAC day on April 25th, this week we feature music from Australia and New Zealand. Some really great music came from our little corner of the world in the 1970s, with a lot of movement and cross pollination across the ditch. Australia was perhaps gruntier, NZ was arguably more avant garde,  but together the Antipodes produced some brilliant artists  – some who rose briefly and faded back into obscurity and some who are still making great music 50 years later.
Living in the Seventies is brought to you by JOY 94.9, Australia’s only LGBTIQA+ radio station and community media organisation. Find out more at joy.org.au. And visit our Facebook page at facebook.com/LivingInThe70s. Listeners in Australia can stream the original podcast on the JOY website, or from iTunes or any podcast provider who uses the Apple podcast feed. Listeners outside of Australia can find an adapted podcast on Spotify – search for ‘Living in the 70s podcast’.  We would love it if you could rate us and leave a review so that other people can find us.
