According to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame “rock connects us”. Formed in the early 80s, the organisation’s aim is to celebrate, educate and engage us all in the fabulousness that is contemporary popular music, with its roots in early rock and roll, but also embracing soul, country and other genres. Unsurprisingly, many of the inductees to the Hall of Fame were active in the 1970s. This week, Marty and Venetia share music from some of these artists, exploring the wonderful music, the achievements and also some of the controversies.
