Double A
LISTEN TO PODCAST NOW
Remember vinyl singles? Those little round packages of joy. Usually with an A side and a B side – but not always. Some artists and record companies had such faith in the tracks on both sides of a single that they marketed them as ‘double a’ sided. They thought that both sides would be hits and wanted the radio stations and DJs to plug both. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. Buts it’s a nice little bit of musical history that we explore on this week’s show.
