Here we go with episode 3 of the best New Australian Music releases this month. We have a special guest joining us in the studio this week, Melbourne local and all round cool gal Angie McMahon with her amazing vocals brings in 2 of her favourite Australian tunes as a Local Roots Guest selector.

“First thing you’ll notice about Angie is her BIG voice. It’s huge and pops right out of her debut single ‘Slow Mover’. She spent a few years singing in a 9-piece soul band where she learned how to use her vocals in different ways to conquer the front space and be heard over the horn section. And now she’s bringing that incredible range to her solo work. Blending together aspects of soul, rock’n’roll, folk and a hell of a lotta swagger, Angie’s songwriting and lyrical craft is off the hook.” Taken from Triple J
