Local Roots TAKEOVER with Merpire
This week Merpire (AKA Rhiannon) is joining Jason and Hamish to take over the show. She has developed an established sound of eerie synths, cinematic flourishes, haunting melodies and beautifully written, chilling vocals. Rhiannon came prepared with guitar in hand and smashed out two acoustic versions of her songs. Originally from Sydney, but now Melbourne based, Merpire joined us for a Local Roots TAKEOVER!
A Local Roots TAKEOVER is where we play an artists few tracks and also have the guest artist bring in 5 of their favourite tracks to share with you. We want to give independent acts a chance to share more of themselves and give them full reign of the show for the full hour. Tonight we play 3 of Merpire’s tracks including two acoustic versions, with her bringing in 5 other independent Aussie tracks to share with you.
