Fitted for Work help women experiencing disadvantage get work and keep it.
Their unique and free services include – personal outfitting for interview, intensive interview training, mentoring, work experience placements and workplace familiarisation sessions with their corporate and business partners.
Recently the team at Fitted for Work received a $227,750 grant from Jobs Victoria to develop and deliver a pilot program to support 200 transwomen and gender diverse (she/ her/ they/ them) jobseekers on their journey to finding employment.
It’s the first initiative of its kind in the country and transgender advocate, Michelle C. Sheppard joined the project as Fitted for Work’s Transgender Community Liaison Officer.
Michelle and CEO Donna de Zwart joined Leasa & Dean on MAD Wednesdays to talk about how the program offers a suite of employment-related services tailored for trans and gender diverse women that help increase work readiness and self-confidence.
If you are a transwomen or gender diverse (she/ her/ they/ them) jobseeker in Victoria and would like to know more about their service, simply reach out and they will be happy to help.
Also if you are interested in volunteering your time, donating business clothing, making a financial contribution or becoming one of our business partners then Fitted for Work will be delighted to hear from you.
