Support trans & gender diverse Victorians – Birth Certificate Reform Bill #MYIDMYIDENTITY

With debate on a Bill  in the Victorian Parliaments Lower House (Legislative Assembly) on Birth Certificate reform, it is time to show your support for the transgender and gender diverse communities.

The day before the debate begins,  transgender activists and allies gathered on the steps of Parliament House for a community photo to show how many people support birth certificate reform. Dean from MAD Wednesday was a part of the this.

In this special segment, we hear from transgender activists, community members and politicians about why reform such as this is so important.

It’s a serious turn to take on a drive show, but one Robbie and Dean were proud to bring to the airwaves of JOY.

Thank you to transgender elder Sally Conning, Sally Goldner from Transgender Victoria, Kochava Lilit from YGender, Jeremy Wiggins and Sage Akouri for speaking with us, as well as Minister for Equality Martin Foley, Leader of the Reason Party Fiona Pattern, and Andy Medic from the Animal Justice Party.
