Miss Chatelaine

24 Dec 2017

Miss Chatelaine #39 (part 2), 19 November 2017 – Mo•Louie, Youthfire

Music

Katie welcomes young local artists Mo•Louie and Youthfire to the studio for the second hour of today’s show. Out-and-proud electronic musician Youthfire (Stephen Carmichael) has been producing gorgeous textural soundscapes since 2014 and has just released his debut EP, Lift Me Up, while soul singer Mo•Louie has been playing in bands since her early teens and has a new EP called Fire Brick. Katie chats to them about their new music and about performing at Technicolour Wonderland – a night put together by Mo•Louie to celebrate pride and diversity that is part of Melbourne Music Week 2017. Here is the playlist:

  • Peaceful, Easy Feeling – Tristen
  • Depths (Part 1) – Yumi Zouma
  • I’ll Call You – Mo·Louie
  • Lift Me Up – Youthfire
  • Take On Me – Pentatonix
  • Plastic – Moses Sumney
  • Heavy Heart – You Am I
  • Forbidden Colours – David Sylvian and Ryuichi Sakamoto
  • Ghost Town – Adam Lambert
