Katie welcomes Helen Mountfort from beloved Australian band My Friend the Chocolate Cake to the JOY studio to talk about the upcoming Winter Revival Tour. The Cake, who sing songs about finding beauty in the ordinary, have been performing for almost 30 years. Helen and Katie talk about the origins of the band (including where the name came from); their sixth album, The Revival Meeting, which was released in 2017; and the Cake’s connection with Papua New Guinea and PNG artist George Telek.
