The National Celtic Festival takes place every Queen’s Birthday weekend in Portarlington, south-west of Melbourne. Katie chats to the founder and director of the festival, Una McAlinden, about its origins and the great variety of Celtic music represented, and plays tracks by some of the artists appearing at this year’s festival. Una is also the director of Folk Alliance Australia, and she and Katie talk about its work with young artists. Here is the playlist:
