Today Katie welcomes guest co-host Michelle Sheppard, aka Mama Mish, a JOY volunteer who is a member of the Family Matters team and presents the Trans P.O.V. (Transgender Point of View) podcast (coming to Thursday nights on JOY in December as a fully-fledged show). Katie and Mish discuss the annual Transgender Awareness Week, which runs from 12 to 19 November, and Transgender Day of Remembrance on 20 November, which honours the memory of those who have lost their lives due to acts of anti-transgender violence. Mama Mish is also a music fan, and she and Katie have fun with today’s batch of new and recent folk, roots, acoustic and pop songs. Here is the playlist:
