Local singer-songwriter Lucy Wise joins Katie in the studio to talk about her music and some of the artists she loves, and then Frank Burkitt joins in on the phone from the Yackandandah Folk Festival. Frank is a storyteller, songwriter, singer and guitarist who relocated to New Zealand from Edinburgh a few years ago and is now a stalwart of Wellington’s folk scene – in fact, the Frank Burkitt Band has just won the NZ Music Award for Best Folk Artist. Frank and the band are currently touring Australia’s eastern states, and Lucy is supporting them at their Melbourne gig. Here is the playlist:
