Small Island Big Song – Show #110 (part 2), 23 June 2019

Tim Cole and BaoBao Chen are the producers of Small island Big Song, a project that includes an album, a concert series and a film and that features over 100 First Nation musicians from across the Pacific and Indian oceans. It brings together artists with a shared ancient seafaring ancestry who each share a song that represents their heritage and also contribute a musical layer to other songs, collaborating and composing with other artists involved in the project. Tim and BaoBao join Katie in the JOY studio to discuss the project’s Australian launch and to play some of the tracks from the album. Here is the playlist:
