Fanny Lumsden – Show #175 (part 2), 1 November 2020

Music

Katie has played many songs by Fanny Lumsden on the show, and is delighted to welcome her for a chat about her beautiful ARIA-nominated album Fallow, which was released just before everything was cancelled due to the pandemic. Fanny talks about what the cancellation of her album tour has meant for her (a chance to rest, among other things!), fighting bushfires in January at the property on the western side of Snowy Mountains where she lives, making a documentary about recording Fallow (see embedded video below), returning to touring, and more. There are also a bunch of fabulous new releases by other artists, and a rare classic by k.d. lang. Here is the playlist:

  • Somebody’s Beloved – MILCK ft. Bipolar Sunshine
  • Beautiful You – The Money War
  • These Days – Fanny Lumsden
  • Peed in the Pool – Fanny Lumsden
  • This Too Shall Pass – Fanny Lumsden
  • Surrender – Eastbound Buzz
  • Aimee – Lena Anderssen
  • Rich – Jess Tyler with Thom Swain
  • Secret Love – k.d. lang
