Katie’s guest today is Malaysian-born, Sydney-based queer singer-songwriter and DJ Dyan Tai. He and Katie talk on the phone about his career as a queer Asian artist, especially his new single, ‘Expiratory’, which he wrote in response to COVID19-related racism and violence experienced by the Asian community in Australia. The song was a finalist in Diversity Arts Australia’s ‘I am not a virus’ campaign, launched in April this year.
