Charm of Finches – Show #218 (part 2), 7 November 2021

Uncategorized

Katie is very happy to welcome Mabel and Ivy Windred-Wornes, aka Charm of Finches, back to the show for their fourth visit (not fifth!) to chat about their exquisite new album, Wonderful Oblivion. Along with performing two songs live in the studio, Mabel and Ivy talk about having a presence on social media, making music during pandemic lockdowns, harmonising, songwriting methods and more. Katie also plays two fabulous new songs about misogyny and sexual misconduct, and two songs chosen by Charm of Finches. Here is the playlist:

  • I Am She – Belle Butler
  • Trouble Finds a Girl – Jenny Mitchell ft. Tami Neilson
  • Heavy – Charm of Finches
  • Treading Water – Charm of Finches (live in the studio)
  • Hello – Adele
  • Canyon – Charm of Finches (live in the studio)
  • Wonderful Oblivion – Charm of Finches
  • America – Simon & Garfunkel

Visit Charm of Finches’ official website and follow them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. You can find their ‘Inside the Song’ videos on their YouTube channel, and info about the Small Halls tour with Jack Carty here.
