Bluesfest Melbourne preview – Show #268 (part 2), 12 February 2023

Katie plays three fabulous new songs by local artists and then introduces renowned Australian music promoter and producer Neil Croker to talk about the upcoming Bluesfest Melbourne, to be held on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Bluesfest in Byron Bay has been showcasing the biggest names in music from around the world every Easter long weekend since 1990, and now Melbourne is hosting its own Bluesfest for the first time, with a great line-up of local and overseas artists. Neil and Katie talk about what punters can expect at the festival and play songs by some of the artists on the bill. Here is the playlist:

  • Who Will Sing My Songs – Richard J Frankland
  • Adam & Eve – Tanya-Lee Davies
  • How Good Is Bed – Alan Fletcher
  • Gon’ Boogaloo – C.W. Stoneking
  • The Captain (acoustic) – Kasey Chambers
  • I Cooked You a Meal – Henry Wagons
  • Mr Bojangles – Steve Earle
  • Tomorrow Is a Long Time – Keb’ Mo’
