Corn Nut Creek – Show #343 (part 2), 2 March 2025

Katie’s guests in the second hour today are bluegrass/Americana duo Corn Nut Creek, aka Tanya Bradley and Dani Vita. We find out what they’ve been up to since their last appearance on Miss Chatelaine (December 2023) and talk about their love for Americana queen Sierra Ferrell, among other topics. Tanya and Dani play a couple of tunes live, and then it’s the worldwide radio premiere of their gorgeous new song, ‘Love Like Birds’. There are also tracks by more artists appearing at this year’s Port Fairy Folk Festival (The East Pointers, Charm of Finches and Vika & Linda) and three excellent new releases. Whew, big show! Here is the playlist:

  • I Want You – The East Pointers
  • The Devil Calls – Jessie Reid
  • That’s How Long (I’ve Waited for Your Love) – Rose Cousins
  • Jeremiah – Sierra Ferrell
  • Chicken in the Kitchen / Harper and Lewis (live in the studio) – Corn Nut Creek
  • Running Up That Hill – Corn Nut Creek
  • Foxes in the Snow – Jason Isbell
  • Good Luck on Your Own – Charm of Finches
  • Love Like Birds – Corn Nut Creek
  • The Loco-Motion – Vika & Linda
