Katie speaks on the phone to award-winning jazz-folk singer-songwriter Elly Hoyt, the leader of emerging Brisbane folk band My Nightingale, about their recently released debut EP, Folk Tales. Made up of four women who bring experience from Australia, Finland, Sweden and the USA, My Nightingale have a beautiful sound characterised by lush vocal harmonies, layers of strings, and cool folk rhythms.
