Katie’s guest in the second hour of show no.41 is Xani Kolac, Melbourne singer-songwriter, violinist extraordinaire and force of nature. Katie first heard Xani playing with drums/violin duo The Twoks, and then heard about her brilliant performance of Bob Dylan’s ‘Hurricane’ with Kav Temperley on RocKwiz. Xani has played with many local artists and bands, including Clare Bowditch, Tim Rogers, My Friend the Chocolate Cake and Martin Martini & the Bone Palace Orchestra, and released her first solo CD in April 2017. Katie is thrilled to have her on the show at last. Here is the playlist:
- Doona – The Twoks
- Make It Work – This Way North
- Sleep for Years – Clio
- I’m Coming Back – Xani
- Just Leave Me Here – Hannah Cameron
- Jerusalem Artichoke – Xani
