This week I have the pleasure of interviewing Australian musician Louise Love live in the JOY949 Studio.
Following a string of bands, solo-projects and banging her head against imaginary walls, Louise Love followed her gut into electronic music production.

After launching her stage-show in 2013 her and debut album in Hobart in 2014, Louise is now based in Melbourne where she continues to produce and perform her unique tunes. Signature beats, twisted synths and liquid vocals layer in electronic creations that have both depth and space. The lyrics are honest and despite genre-tripping, the music retains its pop ethos. With new dancier tracks making their way into her repertoire.

Louise Love is a prolific songwriter and performs regularly around Melbourne. Louise also performs live with Parralox when they perform in Australia. She’s just recorded an EP called Tantric Shuffle and is about to embark on an Australian Promotional Tour to spread the good word.

This Saturday Louise Love joins me live in the studio and we will play selected tracks from her brand new Tantric Shuffle EP, as well as some of her favourite songs and artists including Bjork, LCD Soundystem, Parralox, Simona Castricum, Thom Yorke, JD Samson, Astral Skulls, Yacht, InfraGhosts, Prince and Little Dragon.

We will also be chatting in depth to Louise Love about her music, her live shows and that amazing music video she’s just recorded for “Get Back”.
