The Argentinean band met in 2000 and released their first EP on their own label Discos Sordos. Following their debut “Musica Envasada” (2000) they released “Mal y bien a la vez” (2001), “13 Nebulizaciones” (2004) and “Nanas” (2005).
Psych-O-Path Records (USA) has released an original cd compilation of both released and unreleased material that encapsulates the evolution of the Farmacia sound over the past six years called “Crucial Sky In The Land Of Premonitions At Lorenzo´s Weekend” (2006) Farmacia “Nada de Nada” (2008) is an electronic pop song album released by Discos Sordos include “Nada de Nada”, “Todo esta bien”, “Te puedo Abrazar”.
Farmacia appears on the film “The paranoids” Adam Yauch´s (Beastie Boys) company Oscilloscope Laboratories. Farmacia and their peers have created an energetic and vibrant electronic music scene in Buenos Aires where they play various venues and festivals.
They played at the BUE festival in Buenos Aires with bands like Massive Attack, Human League, Andrew Fletcher Dj set (Dm). Farmacia appears with the track “Estas Técnicas” in the new compilation “Some Bizzare Double Album” (2008) on the legendary UK label Some Bizzare Records (Soft Cell, Einstürzende Neubauten, Depeche Mode, Cabaret Voltaire, The Grid, Psychic Tv, Coil, The The, Marc Almond)
Shelter are a song-writing, production & remixing duo consisting of Mark R Bebb (vocals, lyrics / song-writing & arrangement) and Rob Bradley (music / programming / performance / song-writing & arrangement).
Shelter started out in 1999 as UK national regional finalists in Future Music Publishing’s undiscovered originals song-writing competition from over 8,000 entries.
“We love collaborating, so we guess what happens from here on in has yet to be written!”
Since that time they have worked on numerous collaborations including writing and producing Erasure front man Andy Bell’s 3rd solo album ‘iPop’ released digitally in May 2014 and in physical format in March 2015. While recording the ‘iPop’ album they had the opportunity to work with none other than Ivor Novello award-winning UK Godfather of British electro-pop Mr Vince Clarke on a remix of an album track. Since the release, the single ‘beautiful’ from iPop has made the playlist on Danish radio.
Shelter released their debut album ’emerge’ in November of this year, featuring 17 tracks taking listeners on a retro-electro journey from the 1980’s through to the modern day.
Shelter completed a triumphant eight date stint as support on ‘Erasure’s’ Violet Flame tour with gigs in Wolverhampton, Manchester, Cologne, Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, Aarhus and Copenhagen in 2014. The Erasure support slot gave the band the opportunity to leave the studio and showcase their music and performance style…. “the response from the audiences in the UK and Europe overwhelmed us. We can’t wait to get back on the stage”.
2015 is already turning out to be an exciting year for Shelter, kicking off in January with the release of their collaborative single ‘Connected (put your hands up) featuring internet sensation Neil Francis, which is being followed mid-year with the release of their track ‘with u’ featuring Frankmusik. As well as live dates already scheduled for 2015 across the UK and in Denmark, they are currently writing and recording their follow up to their debut album.
Shelter have truly ’emerged’!
Electronically Yours,
John von Ahlen
