Yesterday it was announced that the Gillard Government will fund ‘stage 2’ of the MindOut project to the tune of $1.1 million. The ultimate aim is to reduce suicide and other mental health issues directly associated with the LGBTI Community. Today we talk to Warren Talbot (GM) and Paul Martin (Chair) of the National LGBTI Health Alliance about how they hope to make a difference in the lives of many. A new resource is being launched later today designed to assist school children. Titled “Stand Out Against Homophopbia In Schoolsâ€, the booklets co-author and Project Manager for Minus 18, Micha Scott, discusses its importance. ALSO Foundation’s coordinator for the Take Care Out There project, Alex Schoeffel, discusses the short film competition initiative focusing on sexual health and relationships.
