On The Line today we take a look at what some people will be doing this Christmas…not for themselves, but for others. Bill Lockley found himself in the midst of depression earlier this year with no tangible explanation as to why. The Black Dog Institute helped him to get back on his feet and now he is heading to Federation Square tomorrow to do 7200 push-ups…WTF? That’s right, Bill is raising awareness of the organisation and seeking supportive donations whilst spending 12 hours doing push-ups (approx 10 per minute for 12 hours). Yvonne Gardner and the organisation she founded, Positive Attitude, has been providing meals for HIV+ people in need for many years and today she joins us to publicise their forthcoming Christmas Lunch event.
AFAO’s Executive Director Rob Lake joins us to explain what effect the recent Cabinet reshuffle will have on the HIV Sector and he reveals the motivation behind a new national advertising campaign which aims to reduce the stigma associated with sex and HIV amongst Gay Men.
