Dr Lauren Rose-Warne from Melbourne University’s School of Social and Political Inquiry join us to discuss the importance of public figures being out and proud and how it helps shape a future more inclusive of diversity. Earlier in the week Dean caught up with Melbourne’s Lord Mayor Robert Doyle and Professor Sharon Lewin, Head of Infectious Diseases at the Alfred Hospital and Co-Chair of AIDS 2014. They were briefing Melbourne’s Hoteliers about AIDS 2014, which will be the largest medical conference ever to be held in Australia. This weekend JOY 94.9 goes to Bendigo to broadcast SHADES of JOY. David Mejia- Canales, a Mind the Gap Project Officer with Family Planning Victoria joins us to discuss what SHADES is all about.
