Today a Reservoir man faced an out of sessions court hearing, charged with attempt to infect someone with HIV, conduct endangering life and operating as a sex worker with being infected with HIV. Detective Sergeant Glen Wilson from Victoria Police Sex Offences Unit joins us On the Line to inform the Community and to encourage individuals who may have been a client of the accused man, to get a sexual health check and contact police if their health has been compromised. Then we cross to Brent Allan, Executive Officer at PLWHA (Vic) who was present at the court hearing. JOY News reporter Rod Swift spoke to Paul Martin from Queensland Health, immediately following the announcement that the new LNP Government was withdrawing $2.5M funding from the organisation. Then we catch up with Rob Lake from the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations for his thoughts on the actions of the Queensland Government. Finally Rebecca Dominguez, Vice President of the Bisexual Alliance of Victoria wants to set the record straight following an article in The Australian newspaper, suggesting the organisations is lobbying for marriage to be between multiple people.
