Since the fertility clinic in East Melbourne opened its doors in 1972, protesters have stood outside harassing young women as they entered.
Last week the Supreme Court found the City of Melbourne could do no more to protect the women who attended the clinic. As a result Fiona Patten MLA issued a private members bill in Victoria’s Legislative Assembly to create an exclusion zone of 150m around the clinic.
Dean put together a background package on the clinic, the protesters, the legal action and the thoughts of Victoria’s Premier. Then Fiona joins him to discuss the latest developments.
