Tim announces that Dean Beck has been appointed the newest Ambassador for the groundbreaking campaign to reduce the stigma associated with HIV. On The Line begins with Dean commenting on his new role and then it’s on with the show…. Professor Sharon Lewin is Co-Head of the Burnet Institute’s Centre for Virology and Director of Infectious Diseases at the Alfred Hospital. Prof. Lewin is also a World leader in the search for a cure to HIV. As local co-chair of the XXth International AIDS Conference (IAC), she is responsible for Melbourne securing the largest medical conference to ever come to Australia – AIDS2014. Apart from brining us up to date on some of the latest research developments, Prof. Lewin reveals there is an international competition being held now for young graphic designers (aged 10-30yo) of age, to come up with a logo for this landmark event.
