world_aids_day_2012_homophobia_hampers_access_to_hiv_prevention_treatmentHIV positive patients of the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre contacted the program concerned that they had been informed the clinic pharmacy was considering charging a dispensing fee for HIV medication in the near future.  The Executive Officer of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations, Rob Lake, joins us to discuss the impact that this will have on “Treatment As Prevention” campaigns and people adhering to their medication regime.

Beyond Blue’s CEO, Kate Carnell joins us to announce a new research study into the mental health of the transsexual and transgender community.

Last night was the GLOBE AGM which saw Peter Stephenson step down as President after many years and the new guy at the top is David Micallef.  They join us to discuss the future of Melbourne’s gay business networking organisation.

Andy Mac from “3 Cords And The Truth” on JOY is also working on an amazing youth based series for Bent TV and he is in the studio to tell us more about the project.

Finally, Alischa Ross CEO of Youth Empowerment Against HIV and Co-Conveners of the AIDS 2014 Youth Programme puts the call out to listeners who may wish to be a part of next year’s huge AIDS 2014 Conference.
