Imagine coming home from work one day to find your dog or cat missing. Imagine, despite your efforts to find your pet, never ever seeing him or her again.
Sadly, for many pet owners this is a reality.
Reuniting a lost pet with their owner should only ever be a phone call away however, each year thousands of lost pets cannot be returned home simply because their owners cannot be contacted.
December is National Pet ID Month, a national awareness campaign to remind pet owners to identify their pet and keep their contact details up-to-date.
Our campaign focus this year is to encourage pet owners to update their contact details by attending a ChipChecker event or by contacting National Pet Register on 1300 REG PET (1300 734 738).
On this edition of Pets-A-Loud:
- Want to know how to identify your pet and keep your contact details up to date? We will take you through the A-Z of pet identification.
- Lost or found pet and don’t know what to do? We have some handy advice for you!
- There a few myths around microchips. Tune in as we bust a few of them.
- And finally on Dog Dates, we check out ChipChecker events at a park near you!
