There is a strong connection between many of us and our companion animals. For those who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, their companion animals are a strong source of mental, physical and emotional support – however getting pet care for their animals can be extremely difficult.
On this edition of Pets-A-Loud we are talking about some of the programs that help those in need continue to enjoy the love of an animal – regardless of their circumstances.
Also coming up on this edition of JOY’s very own show about pets:
- We take a look at some of the programs and groups working to help the pets of the homeless.
- Pets in the Park talks to us about the work they do to provide necessary vet care to those in need.
- The author of By The Grace of Dog talks to us about her experiences in animal therapy.
