Summer Special One: Fireworks and Storms

Animals, Pets

While we may enjoy the sky lighting up with a spectacular display courtesy of mother nature, or the shimmering fireworks display welcoming a New Year — storms and pyrotechnics can be the most terrifying experience for our beloved dogs and cats.

There are however a range of ways you can manage your pets anxiety and it’s a good idea to word up on what to do before a storm hits or a fireworks display is under way.

On the first of our Pets-A-Loud Summer Specials, the team explore the difference between a phobia and fear and how to manage both. They will also provide you with handy tips on what to do in the lead up to and during a storm or fireworks.

Dr Alan Bolton will tackle a question from Nicole and Ted, whose cat has sent them on a redesign of their garden all because he likes to use the backyard as his personal restroom! Podcast and find out Dr Alan’s suggestion on how to litter train an adult cat!
