It’s all denim on Pop Queers this week as we’re joined by Jessie Deane and Harriet O’Donnell from the Pitchface Community Choir!
The Pitchface Community Choir is a denim wearing choir made up (almost entirely) of women and non-binary peeps from Melbourne’s inner west. To find out more check out their website.
Harriet is one of the founding members of the Pitchface Community Choir and you can hear her singing the lead vocals in the choir’s online rendition of Boys Don’t Cry, performed in lockdown for Respect Victoria’s Respect Women: Call it Out campaign.
When not being a Pitch and singing with Harriet in the choir, Jessie is a needlepoint artist who loves depicting the industrial beauty of Melbourne’s inner west. You can follow her work on her website or follow her on Instagram @jessiedeaneneedlepoint.
