  • The Western Australian AIDS Council has announced the unexpected passing of CEO Andrew Burry.
  • The gay panic defense to murder has been scrapped from Queensland’s criminal code.
  • Senior high school students in Victoria will now be able to identify as having an undefined gender.
  • A handful of AFL players have spoken out in favour of marriage equality as the AFL season kicks off.
  • The Victorian government has announced it will provide additional funding to the PrEP trial.
  • The Swedish government is set to pay compensation to trans people who were illegally forced to be sterilised.
  • Orange is The New Black stars, Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli have married in Palm Springs, California.

In Sport;

  • 10,000 booklets have been issued to soccer stewards accross England to help tackle LGBTIQ abuse.
  • Australia will host the second annual Rainbow Round of Sport.
  • On the back of the proposed plebiscite, several AFL players have also spoken out in favour of marriage equality.
