Midsumma Anna Thomson “Madame Nightshade’s Poison Garden”

Anna joined Pete, Dylan and Judy to talk about her upcoming Midsumma show “Madame Nightshade’s Poison Garden”.

Anna was an absolute delight to have in studio and has a genuine warmth and a passion for her show. From it’s original iteration in 2016, Anna has shaped and refined her show and believes this production to be her best.  Anna says she delights in creating physical comedy that uses grotesque, absurd, larger than life characters to parody pop culture tropes.  Anna playfully confronts environmental and social politics through a queer lens.”

Among the many critiques, Anna’s show has been described “delightful, disgusting, provocative and confronting”

Madame Nightshade’s Poison Garden is on at Gasworks Art Park,  21 Graham St, Albert Park from 23-26 January 2019 from 9pm
