Holy days of the week are Buddha’s Birthday (Hana Matsuri) and Baisakhi.
Sam Burmeister shares his story of being brought up in a Pentecostal Church. He became a worship leader and church was his life until the age of 22. However from the age of 10 Sam started noticing he was different to his brothers and class mates but was ridden with guilt for feeling that way. When his father found out that Sam was watching gay prom he was sent to a Christian psychologist. After trying to live straight including dating a girl Sam finally at the age of 19 came out. He was dismissed from the worship team and stayed in the church until moving to Melbourne.
