This week on Spoken Word, we were joined by the talented and amazing writer and actor, Chloe Towan, as we discussed her latest production, currently running at the Butterfly Club.
Death Pretzel tells the story of Sam (Lucy Ross), a failed artist, who is visited by Morgan, the Grim Reaper (Chloe Towan). Morgan’s quirky and upbeat attitude isn’t exactly what Sam was expecting, but as the evening wears on and Sam starts to question her purpose in life, Morgan soon realises this isn’t going to be a regular visit!
Blending a darkly comedic tone with a tender reflection on ambition and broken dreams, Death Pretzel asks the questions we’re all dying to have answered:
- What is the meaning of life?
- What happens when we die?
- Does the Grim Reaper like pretzels?
Find out (what we suppose are) the answers to these questions and more when Death Pretzel makes its full-length debut!
