David and Brendan discuss the contemporary dance festival Dance Massive including last week’s interviews as well as stand-out shows.

Brendan reviews Inherent Vice, starring Joaquin Phoenix, Eastern Boys and Kidnapping Mr Heineken starring Anthony Hopkins. AND he has a new rating system using letters instead of numbers

Special guest today is the very talented and versatile Ali McGregor. The principal soprano in Opera Australia, actor, TV presenter, cabaret performer and mother talks about how she got into music, her wide-range musical inspirations, her shows and her children’s album. She will be performing at the Comedy Festival in the Spiegeltent from 27 March to 18 April in her Late night Variety show and in a kid’s version of her show Ali McGregor’s Cabhooray from 28 March to 5 April.

Lastly, Brendan squeezes in some stand-out films from Melbourne Queer Film Festival (19 – 30 March) including The Way He Looks, 10 year plan, Appropriate Behaviour, Jamie Marks is Dead, Lyle and Sapphic Suckers.
