Brendan reviews a film from MQFF –Jamie Marks is dead and Tim Burton’s film – Big Eyes.

Today’s special guests are:

Jade Leonard: jazz & contemporary singer and pianist who has her own TV show.  She talks about her background, musical education, performing, cruise-ship work, song-writing and teaching.  Her TV show, showcasing talented but little known musicians, airs on Mondays at 7.30pm on Channel 31. If you can’t access Ch.31, go to GH from 6.30pm to watch it there.

Jamie North: is an artist and presently has a major installation called Rock Melt in the forecourt of NGV. This is comprised of 6 freestanding towers with plants attached, which degrade as they go higher. Jamie talks about his early interest in plants, using them as art material and how his sculptures are site specific.  Jamie also has a piece in an exhibition called Nature Revelation at the Ian Potter Museum from 31 March.
