Interview: Brett from The Laird re Men On Men art exhib/comp

Brett from The Laird talks to our hosts, via phone, about the Men On Men Art Exhibition & Competition which is on until 18 June.  JOY is one of the supporters and all 3 of our hosts–David, Brendan and Neil– will be judges for this exhibition!! The winner is announced on 17 June.

Brett goes into the history of the competition which started in the 90s by Vic Bears and later taken on by The Laird. It’s a men-only event but there’s a gender-inclusive Open Day which was on 3 June. It’s on this Open Day that most sales happen and this year they sold more than ever before. The Laird also doesn’t charge commission.

Brett talks about the prizes the winner, and the People’s Choice winner, get–which help them get exposure. Brett offered any women who are interested in seeing the art to contact The Laird and arrange to come in before it opens.
