Dr Ryan Jeffries, Creative Director Science Gallery talks to Brendan and Neil about its inaugural program BLOOD: Attract and Repel. Part of this program and exclusively for Nite Art, Science Gallery will engage US artist Jordan Eagles to host his blood projection work, Illuminations.
Illuminations is a large scale projection of real human blood embedded into resin, placed in old-school projectors. Visitors will be encouraged to stand in front of the projections where the blood will be illuminated onto them. Jordan created the exhibition to bring light to the issue of homosexual men not being allowed to donate blood.
BLOOD will be the first cross-network season running across both Science Gallery sites in London and Melbourne between August and October 2017.
