Nicole Newman talks to Sunday Arts Magazine about her latest exhibition, Genaivisheh Shtiklech at Tasma Terrace. This is an exhibition of sixteen new works of small-scale sculptures intended to be somewhat of a puzzle to the viewer. Handcrafted Perspex boxes contain intricately silver-smithed forms from the natural world and Nicole’s imagination. The works contain hidden messages engraved in Yiddish and multiple layers of meaning to be found in the combination of words, visual puns and surreal imagery.
