Simon Warrender, the Executive Director and Founder of the Melbourne Prize came into Sunday Arts Magazine to talk about this years prize.
The Melbourne Prize is a competition that runs each year according to a cycle that provides financial and professional development opportunities to artists. The Melbourne Prize’s three-year cycle consists of Urban Sculpture, Literature and Music. The competition is run in the first half of the year and the finalist exhibition is run in November at Federation Square.
This year the Melbourne Prize is for Literature and nominations close at 5pm 9 July 2018 and details are available on their website:
