Phillip Adams, founder and artistic director of Phillips Adams BalletLab celebrates a career that spans 30 years in contemporary dance and more recently visual arts .
Awarded the ANZ International Fellowship Award in 1988, he is a vital contributor to the richness of Australian performing arts producing bold artistic choreography
and artworks that provide a crucial point of differentiation: an alternative modality, fearless choreographic practice and risk-taking approach to creation and presentation.
He has presented internationally at leading festivals and venues in the USA, Europe and Asia and recently won the 2018 Australia Council Award for Dance.
He chats to the Sunday arts team and introduces the Midsumma 2020 program at Temperance Hall in South Melbourne.
